Vessels provide the opportunity for each student to physically respond to their assumption of reality through their evolving creative language. The construction of each vessel requires an assessment of the "site" for the vessel, the understanding of the selected materials for construction, and the development of construction techniques that best suit the creative idea. Three vessels are built over the semester, each building upon the previous creative consideration, and construction techniques as they relate to an individual's understanding of place, culture and self.
